OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC

Inspired by Scandinavian interior design, OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC preserves the natural look and feel of light-colored wooden floors. The typical enhancement of the wood grain is greatly reduced, the wood’s own color is largely retained, and parquet or floorboards look almost freshly sanded. Light-stable white pigments also help slow down darkening and yellowing – while providing reliable protection for everyday use.

Even on deeply brushed and textured oak, pigment deposits in the pores remain almost invisible. This creates a calm, natural raw wood look without a limed effect.

When is OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC the right choice?

When you want to protect light-colored parquet or floorboards while preserving their freshly sanded character as much as possible.

Scandic-Oil CLASSIC is particularly suitable for modern raw wood floors where a classic parquet oil would enhance the wood color too strongly.

For furniture and stairs, use OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE. Scandic-Oil MANUFAKTUM is available for industrial roller application.

What is OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC suitable for?

The raw wood effect oil is suitable for unfinished and freshly sanded solid wood parquet and floorboards in residential interior areas.

It is particularly suitable for light-colored hardwoods and softwoods such as oak, Douglas fir, silver fir, birch, or spruce.

For floors that need to withstand greater everyday wear, 2K application with OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener is recommended – especially in more heavily used residential areas.

What does wood look like after applying OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC?

The wood’s natural color is largely retained. The pores are not emphasized with a whitish appearance, creating a naturally raw surface without a limed effect that looks and feels like freshly sanded wood.

The wood remains open-pored and breathable. The surface can receive initial care with OLI NATURA® Refresher and can be refreshed repeatedly later.

Testing on a sample area of the original wood is recommended.

How easy is OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC to apply?

Within the Scandic-Oil family, CLASSIC has a thinner consistency and is specially optimized for roller application on parquet and floorboards. The build-up consists of two coats. After the first coat, the dried surface is intermediate-sanded with a Swedish red lacquer sanding pad. Polishing the still-wet second coat with a white pad makes the surface more matte.

Thanks to its fast drying time, the complete surface build-up can be carried out within one working day.

For additional initial care, OLI NATURA® Refresher can then be used.

When is 2K application recommended?

For floors subject to heavier wear, Scandic-Oil CLASSIC is applied with OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener in a 10:1 ratio.

The additional cross-linking increases resistance, particularly to grease, water, and typical household wear.

What other features distinguish OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC?

VOC-free, low-odor, and tested for interior use. The raw wood effect oil contains no volatile organic solvents, complies with DIN EN 71-3, is saliva- and perspiration-resistant according to DIN 53160, is approved by DIBt, and is declared by baubook. Oil-soaked pads and cloths are not prone to spontaneous combustion.
