For those who want to creatively showcase oak, combine HS Professional Oil with the reactive stain OLI-NATURA Antique. The long open time provides plenty of scope for polishing – a real advantage, especially on larger areas. The low viscosity ensures pleasantly easy handling, while the fast curing time is impressive even without hardener. In combination with OLI-NATURA Hardener (mixing ratio 10:1), the curing time is significantly reduced, and the surface's resistance increases. The OLI-NATURA Hardener is the B-component for selected 2K oils and enables significantly faster curing, higher resistance, and optimal oil anchoring. The additional molecular cross-linking creates deeply anchored, tightly meshed oil structures that make the surface particularly robust and durable. Thanks to its VOC-free formula (0% solvent), the hardener is environmentally friendly and safe to use. It improves chemical resistance and optimizes pigment absorption in colored oils. Especially with a very fine final sanding, it ensures that the oil penetrates deep into the wood fibers even at high grit levels. Processing with OLI-NATURA Hardener is particularly recommended for heavily used surfaces such as floors, stairs, and countertops, as well as for wet rooms, wood and epoxy resin work with very fine sanding – ideal wherever quick use of the surface is desired. Note: This product contains less than 0.1% diisocyanate monomers and can therefore be used without additional training. RAW WOOD LOOK. ALMOST LIKE UNTREATED. Inspired by Scandinavian interior design, OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC preserves the natural look and feel of light wood floors. The typical darkening of the wood is significantly reduced, its natural colour largely retained, and parquet or planks appear almost freshly sanded. Light-stable white pigments also help to slow down darkening and yellowing – with reliable everyday protection. Even on deep-brushed and textured oak, pigment deposits in the pores remain almost invisible. This creates a calm, natural raw wood look without a limed effect. Natural. Raw. Protected. Almost like freshly sanded. When is OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC the right choice? If you want to protect light parquet or plank floors whose freshly sanded character should be preserved as much as possible. Scandic-Oil CLASSIC is particularly suitable for modern raw wood floors where a classic parquet oil would darken the wood colour too much. For furniture and stairs, use OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE. For industrial roller application, Scandic-Oil MANUFAKTUM is available. What is OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC suitable for? The raw wood effect oil is suitable for raw and freshly sanded solid wood parquet and plank floors in indoor living areas. It is particularly suitable for light hardwoods and softwoods such as oak, Douglas fir, white fir, birch or spruce. For floors that need to withstand more in everyday life, 2K processing with OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener is recommended – especially in heavily used living areas. What does wood look like after OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC? The natural inherent colour of the wood is largely preserved. The pores are not whitishly accentuated – for a naturally raw surface without a limed effect, which visually and haptically resembles freshly sanded wood. The wood remains open-pored and breathable. The surface can be initially treated and subsequently refreshed with OLI NATURA® Refresher. A test area on the original wood is recommended. How easy is OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC to apply? CLASSIC within the Scandic-Oil family is formulated to be thinner and specially optimised for roller application on parquet and planks. The application is done in two coats. After the first coat, the dried surface is intermediate-sanded with a Swedish red sanding pad. By polishing out the still wet second coat with a white pad, the surface becomes more matte. Thanks to the fast drying time, the complete surface build-up can be carried out within one working day. For additional initial care, OLI NATURA® Refresher can then be used. When is 2K processing recommended? For heavily used floors, Scandic-Oil CLASSIC is processed with OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener in a 10:1 ratio. The additional cross-linking increases resistance, especially to grease, water, and common household stresses. What else distinguishes OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC? VOC-free, low odour, and tested for indoor use. The raw wood effect oil contains no volatile organic solvents, complies with DIN EN 71-3, is saliva and perspiration resistant according to DIN 53160, DIBt-approved, and baubook-declared. MORE CROSS-LINKING. MORE DURABILITY. OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener is the B-component or 2K hardener for OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC and Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE. With its addition, both wood oils can optionally be processed as a powerful 2K system. The hardener supplements the normal oxidative curing of the oil with additional molecular cross-linking. This makes the surface loadable earlier, achieves a higher final hardness and gains chemical resistance. The color effect of the raw wood effect and the gloss level are hardly affected by the addition of the hardener. Add hardener. Increase durability. When is OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener the right choice? When a wooden surface to be treated with Scandic-Oil CLASSIC or Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE needs to be particularly durable or cured faster. The 2K processing is particularly recommended for floors, stairs, as well as table and worktops. How is OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener used? The hardener is added to the oil immediately before processing in a ratio of 10 parts oil : 1 part H2O-Hardener. 100 ml hardener is sufficient for 1 liter of oil, 500 ml for 5 liters of oil.Smaller quantities can also be mixed in the same proportion. The pot life is 2–3 hours. Therefore, only mix as much material as can be safely processed within this time. How quickly does Scandic-Oil cure with H2O-Hardener? By adding the B-component, curing is significantly accelerated. After a maximum of 48 hours, the surface is about 90% cured. During this time, protect the treated area from water. Temperature, humidity and air movement can influence the actual drying. What else distinguishes OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener? The H2O-Hardener contains less than 0.1% diisocyanate monomers and is therefore not subject to training according to EU 2020/1149.
