OLI-NATURA Worktop-Oil for solid wood furniture in kitchens & bathrooms.

Oil solid wood in kitchens & bathrooms with OLI-NATURA Worktop-Oil

Comfort and solid wood – a perfect match. Many architects and end-users agree and are increasingly looking for a natural impregnating oil for kitchen and bathroom furniture. A high-solid oil that is well-suited for this purpose is our OLI-NATURA Worktop-Oil. It is solvent-free, has a high tung oil content, and is naturally very water-repellent, durable, and moisture-regulating.

The oiled natural wood surface can safely come into contact with food and is LFGB-certified (food-safe) with "brief and seal." At the same time, Worktop-Oil highlights the natural grain of the wood and deepens its characteristic color. This makes the surface appear particularly authentic and further enhances the wood.

Another advantage is that the natural oil surface can be refreshed regularly with little effort. Even stains and fine scratches can be easily sanded out and re-oiled without having to completely re-impregnate the entire surface. After repair, these areas are then simply re-oiled with OLI-NATURA Worktop-Oil.

Here are some tips for solid wood furniture in kitchens & bathrooms:

  • Not every type of wood suitable for kitchen countertops and living room furniture is also suitable for the bathroom. It is important that the type of wood reacts very little to moisture. Oak, smoked oak, teak, and all thermal woods are particularly suitable.

  • The oiled surface can continue to breathe and remains vapor-permeable. It can absorb and release moisture and is also water-repellent.

  • Impregnated wood is open-pored and never "completely sealed." Therefore, you should avoid prolonged standing moisture and wipe away liquids such as water, wine, coffee, or fruit juices as quickly as possible. Hot pots or similar items should also not be placed on the wooden tabletop without a coaster.

  • The impregnation should always be refreshed by re-oiling. How often you need to re-oil depends on how much the furniture is used. Good indicators are: if the water resistance and color depth decrease or if the surface feels dry and brittle. Then it should be maintained.

  • Superficial scratches do not expose unprotected wood, as the protection comes from within. "Cosmetic repairs" can be easily carried out: carefully sand the affected area and re-oil with OLI-NATURA Worktop-Oil. Any color difference will equalize over time.

  • Contamination on wooden furniture can be easily removed with a little lukewarm water and a clean cloth. For removing more stubborn dirt, our mild OLI-NATURA Wood Soap can be used.
