OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener is the B component or 2K hardener for OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC and Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE. Adding it allows both wood oils to be optionally applied as a high-performance 2K system.
The hardener supplements the oil’s normal oxidative curing with additional molecular cross-linking. This allows the surface to withstand loads sooner, achieve a higher final hardness and gain greater chemical resistance. The color effect of the raw-wood look and the gloss level are barely affected by adding the hardener.

When is OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener the right choice?
When a wooden surface treated with Scandic-Oil CLASSIC or Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE needs to be particularly durable or cure more quickly.
2K application is especially recommended for floors, stairs, tables and worktops.
How is OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener used?
The hardener is mixed into the oil immediately before application in a ratio of 10 parts oil : 1 part H2O-Hardener.
100 ml of hardener is sufficient for 1 liter of oil; 500 ml is sufficient for 5 liters of oil.
Smaller quantities can also be mixed in the same ratio.
The pot life is 2–3 hours. Therefore, mix only as much material as can safely be applied within this time.
How quickly does Scandic-Oil cure with H2O-Hardener?
Adding the B component significantly accelerates curing. After a maximum of 48 hours, the surface is approximately 90% cured.
Protect the treated area from water during this period. Temperature, humidity and air movement may affect the actual drying time.
What other features does OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener offer?
H2O-Hardener contains less than 0.1% diisocyanate monomers and is therefore not subject to mandatory training under EU 2020/1149.
