Treating wood with wax - 5 tips
- The wood surface should be clean and free of dust and grease. If the wax is being applied to a raw wood surface for the first time, it is advisable to sand it first.
- Carefully warming the furniture wax softens its consistency and makes it easier to apply.
- Apply thinly with a soft, lint-free cloth or a white polishing pad in circular motions.
- Allow the wax to absorb and dry thoroughly. Afterward, polish the surface thoroughly with a soft cloth or a white polishing pad. The more you polish, the shinier the surface will become.
- Repeat the waxing process if necessary - especially when treating raw wood surfaces for the first time. It is better to apply several thin layers and allow the wax to dry well in between. The result will then be much better.
