Wellness for wood: This naturally curing maintenance oil for oiled wood surfaces has many beneficial properties: It refreshes the wood's “faded” colour, gives the surface new depth and radiance, penetrates very quickly, and replenishes the pores with fresh oil. This renews the protective effect and, consequently, the wood's resistance. It is particularly recommended for the initial care and refreshing of parquet and plank floors, stairs, and indoor wooden furniture treated with oxidatively drying impregnating oils.

The natural-oil-based maintenance oil is unpigmented. Nevertheless, it enhances the wood's grain and colour. Thanks to its low viscosity, it is easy to apply: For small items of furniture, simply apply a little care product to a lint-free cotton cloth or polishing pad and wipe it over the surface to be treated. To refresh wooden stairs, apply the maintenance oil sparingly with a polishing pad, distribute it, and polish it with a cotton or oil-absorbent cloth. For caring for parquet and plank floors, the maintenance oil can also be applied evenly in a thin coat using a sprayer and, after a short penetration time, polished by hand or with a single-disc machine using a polishing pad.

The wood care product contains only the ingredients necessary for its purpose. Its main component is refined linseed oil, supplemented with medical-grade isoparaffin for optimum self-penetration.

WHEN TO CARE? The intervals at which the wood surface needs to be refreshed depend on the level of use. Good indications that the surface needs care are when its water resistance decreases, the depth of colour fades, and/or the surface feels dry and dull. The surface should then be re-oiled.

The maintenance oil is also available in Care Set No. 1.

To test the effect of the oil, we offer a practical sample size.

  • Giscode Ö60+
  • DIBT-tested construction product
  • DIN 71-3 (Safety of toys)
  • DIN 53160 (resistant to saliva and perspiration)
  • Cobalt-free & oxime-free, FREE from formaldehyde, aromatics, biocides, preservatives

Application recommendation:

  • Before every maintenance treatment, we recommend first dry-cleaning and damp-cleaning with OLI-NATURA wood soap. Allow the surface to dry completely.
  • Shake the container well before use.

Small areas (furniture)

  • White pad or soak a cotton cloth with wood maintenance oil and polish it into the wood.
  • Within 10 minutes, remove the wet oil with a dry cotton cloth/oil-absorbent cloth and polish. No excess oil may remain.
  • Protect from water during the curing period and do not clean with a damp cloth.

Large areas (floors):

  • Apply maintenance oil evenly in a thin layer using a sprayer or floor mop. Apply more oil to dry areas.
  • Within 10 minutes, polish the wet oil with a Super hand pad in white or beige under the pad holder for telescopic handle . Alternatively, you can use a single-disc machine. Polish until the surface appears even.
  • Finally, polish the surface with a Super hand pad in white or oil-absorbent cloth . No excess oil may remain on the surface.
  • Protect from water during the curing period and do not clean with a damp cloth.

Drying: Allow the surface to dry for at least 12 hours before use. Overnight is preferable. Do not wipe with a damp cloth during the first few days.

Coverage: Depending on the application and the absorbency of the substrate, 10-20 g/m² per coat.

NOTE: Coverage depends on the type of wood and the absorbency of the substrate. Excess material on non-absorbent areas delays drying, as do low temperatures and/or excessive humidity and/or excessive wood moisture.

The maintenance oil is recommended for refreshing oxidatively oiled surfaces. Do not use it on UV-oiled prefinished parquet, as the maintenance oil requires an "open-pore system". If in doubt, test on an inconspicuous area.

NOTE REGARDING THE RISK OF SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION: Oil-soaked cloths/pads can spontaneously ignite due to heat accumulation! Therefore, clean them immediately after use or store them under water. The product itself is not self-igniting.

The product is not subject to labeling requirements. The mixture is not classified as hazardous within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008. It does not need to be labeled with GHS hazard pictograms or signal words and is not classified as dangerous goods.
