Innovative, forward-thinking action is characteristic of Oli. This also applies to packaging. Our oils are filled into 100% recyclable tinplate containers and shipped carbon-neutrally. We use biodegradable packaging chips and bottles made from recycled PET to minimize our ecological footprint. Together with the Lebenshilfe workshop, which lovingly packages our sets, we strengthen our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
100% Recyclable Tinplate
We fill our OLI-NATURA oils & waxes into recyclable tinplate containers. Tinplate is 100% recyclable and the material with the highest recycling rate. It can be recycled infinitely without loss of quality. In Germany, over 90% of all tinplate packaging is already recycled. Empty tinplate containers should therefore always be placed in the yellow bin or yellow sack.
Bottles made from rPET
Even if we wished it were different, we cannot yet do without plastic entirely. But fortunately, there are sustainable alternatives that allow us to utilize the advantages of plastic as a packaging material without unnecessarily burdening the environment. One such alternative is recycled PET, or rPET for short, a raw material based on used and reprocessed PET bottles. PET can be easily recycled. For our 1-liter bottles, we have switched to the more environmentally and climate-friendly rPET. These recycled rPET bottles have a slightly different color than conventional PET bottles and are not as crystal clear. At the end of its life, the rPET product can be 100% recycled again and processed into a new item.
Second-Life Cartons & Bio-Chips
To keep packaging waste as low as possible and conserve resources, we are happy to reuse intact cartons two or three times. Discarded cartons go to paper recycling or end up in our carton shredder.
As filling material, we are currently switching from the environmentally friendly "Flo-Pak green" to "Flo-Pak The Clean Bio One Natural" bio-packaging chips, which are made from 100% natural raw materials such as air, water, and vegetable starch. These chips are reusable, 100% recyclable, free of artificial dyes, and water-soluble. Biodegradable, they can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way via the organic waste bin, compost, or wastewater. Upon contact with water, the bio-chips dissolve completely. Additionally, the "Flo-Pak The Clean Bio One Natural" chips are EN 13432 certified, which confirms their biodegradability and sustainability and further underlines their environmental friendliness.

GoGreen Shipping
We ship orders carbon-neutrally. Through our DHL GoGreen shipping, climate projects are supported to offset the CO2 emissions generated. Orders are picked up from us only once a day, which already saves CO2.
The Long-Term Perspective
Everything we do affects our environment and the people and animals that inhabit it. As a company, we are aware of the far-reaching impact of our actions and strive to proactively and continuously advance on our path towards greater sustainability. Our goal is to keep our ecological footprint as small as possible. Our product range is environmentally friendly; we have already ceased the development of solvent-based varnishes. When it comes to packaging, we also try our best to strike the right balance between "too much and too little." Too much packaging material irritates some, while too little leads to products being damaged and returned. Despite our efforts, there is always room for improvement. The path to sustainability is long and full of challenges – a journey without an endpoint, but with many important stages.
