OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC

RAW WOOD LOOK. ALMOST LIKE UNTREATED.

Inspired by Scandinavian interior design, OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC preserves the natural look and feel of light wood floors. The typical darkening of the wood is significantly reduced, its natural colour largely retained, and parquet or planks appear almost freshly sanded. Light-stable white pigments also help to slow down darkening and yellowing – with reliable everyday protection.

Even on deep-brushed and textured oak, pigment deposits in the pores remain almost invisible. This creates a calm, natural raw wood look without a limed effect.

When is OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC the right choice?

If you want to protect light parquet or plank floors whose freshly sanded character should be preserved as much as possible.

Scandic-Oil CLASSIC is particularly suitable for modern raw wood floors where a classic parquet oil would darken the wood colour too much.

For furniture and stairs, use OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE. For industrial roller application, Scandic-Oil MANUFAKTUM is available.

What is OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC suitable for?

The raw wood effect oil is suitable for raw and freshly sanded solid wood parquet and plank floors in indoor living areas.

It is particularly suitable for light hardwoods and softwoods such as oak, Douglas fir, white fir, birch or spruce.

For floors that need to withstand more in everyday life, 2K processing with OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener is recommended – especially in heavily used living areas.

What does wood look like after OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC?

The natural inherent colour of the wood is largely preserved. The pores are not whitishly accentuated – for a naturally raw surface without a limed effect, which visually and haptically resembles freshly sanded wood.

The wood remains open-pored and breathable. The surface can be initially treated and subsequently refreshed with OLI NATURA® Refresher.

A test area on the original wood is recommended.

How easy is OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC to apply?

CLASSIC within the Scandic-Oil family is formulated to be thinner and specially optimised for roller application on parquet and planks. The application is done in two coats. After the first coat, the dried surface is intermediate-sanded with a Swedish red sanding pad. By polishing out the still wet second coat with a white pad, the surface becomes more matte.

Thanks to the fast drying time, the complete surface build-up can be carried out within one working day.

For additional initial care, OLI NATURA® Refresher can then be used.

When is 2K processing recommended?

For heavily used floors, Scandic-Oil CLASSIC is processed with OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener in a 10:1 ratio.

The additional cross-linking increases resistance, especially to grease, water, and common household stresses.

What else distinguishes OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC?

VOC-free, low odour, and tested for indoor use. The raw wood effect oil contains no volatile organic solvents, complies with DIN EN 71-3, is saliva and perspiration resistant according to DIN 53160, DIBt-approved, and baubook-declared. Oil-soaked pads and rags are not prone to spontaneous combustion.
