Boiled linseed oil is “New Old School”—a traditional coating that was almost forgotten, but was once routinely used for wooden surfaces and structural elements, both indoors and out. In 2015, we rediscovered the traditional recipe, carefully refined it, and had it tested for contact with food. Today, boiled linseed oil is one of the most authentic ways for many workshops and wood enthusiasts to protect wood naturally: for cutting boards, end grain, kitchen utensils, turning projects, as well as bowls, knife handles, toys, birdhouses and bee houses, windows, and doors. Our boiled linseed oil is made in a gentle cooking process using only pure, cold-pressed linseed oil. To ensure faster and more even drying, we supplement the recipe with only a minimal amount of a modern drying agent. Additional additives and solvents are strictly off-limits. What’s more, our boiled linseed oil has been tested in accordance with the German Food and Feed Code (LFGB) and is suitable for wooden surfaces that come into contact with food. After application, the boiled linseed oil forms a durable bond with the wood and creates a water-repellent finish. Application is deliberately simple: apply generously with a cotton cloth or brush, allow it to penetrate briefly, and remove any excess oil. After sufficient drying, the application can be repeated several times. Two to three coats are usually sufficient. The wood appears more vibrant, warmer, and richer in tone. Light-colored woods develop a natural honey tone.

For buffing, applying, and spreading wood oils. Our OLI-NATURA oil-absorbing cloths are ideal for absorbing excess oil and final polishing of freshly oiled surfaces. They are highly absorbent, especially tear-resistant, and lint-free, ensuring a professional finish on wooden surfaces. The solvent-resistant and silicone-free cloths measure 38 x 34 cm and are made of a high-quality viscose synthetic fiber whose chemical composition resembles cotton. This “natural synthetic fiber” with a fine perforated structure is perfect for cleaning, caring for, and polishing delicate surfaces. In addition to use with wood oils, the cloths are also ideal for versatile cleaning tasks in the workshop or household. They also perform excellently when oiling small wooden objects. Note: Oil-soaked cloths can spontaneously ignite due to heat buildup! After use, they should therefore be spread out and left to dry in a well-ventilated place, washed, or stored under water.

TEAK OIL & DECKING OIL FOR OUTDOOR WOOD Sun and rain change wood. Even weather-resistant woods such as teak fade and turn gray over time. Regular oiling with OLI NATURA® Yacht & Teak Oil counteracts the silver-gray patina and helps protect the wood surface from drying out and becoming brittle. The oil penetrates deep into the wood and protects it from within. The surface remains open-pored and water-repellent, while the color and grain are visibly refreshed—without forming a closed film. Which woods and applications is OLI NATURA® Yacht & Teak Oil suitable for? For wooden decks, decking boards, garden furniture, pool surrounds, and yacht decks made of suitable outdoor woods such as teak, bangkirai, Douglas fir, larch, eucalyptus, black locust, oak, Ipé, or Cumaru. The right choice if you want to preserve and visibly enhance the warm character of the wood and are looking for a biocide-free wood oil for outdoor use. A particular advantage is the simple maintenance: The oil penetrates the wood and remains open-pored. The oil coating does not crack, peel, or flake. Previously oiled surfaces can therefore usually be recoated easily without sanding. What does wood look like after applying OLI NATURA® Yacht & Teak Oil? Oiling gives the wood greater depth and warmth. The color and grain appear more vibrant, while the surface remains open-pored and natural to the touch. Natural is free of pigments, but not visually colorless: Like any oil that enhances the wood’s natural color, it deepens the existing wood tone. Teak is lightly pigmented, subtly enhances warm wood tones, and provides increased UV protection. The Teak shade is also suitable for other types of wood without covering them and recoloring them completely in a teak tone. The type of wood, its natural color, and the sanding finish influence the shade. The most reliable way to see the result is to create a test area on the original wood. All shades are available as samplers. How easy is OLI NATURA® Yacht & Teak Oil to apply? Apply thinly, allow to penetrate, and remove excess. Apply the oil evenly in the direction of the grain and polish it off completely after approximately 15 minutes. Apply only to clean, dry wood. Then protect the freshly oiled surface from rain and moisture for 5–8 days. Very dry or highly absorbent wood can be oiled a second time after drying overnight. Treat dense woods such as teak only thinly. For refreshing the surface, one application is usually sufficient. Previously oiled surfaces can generally be maintained without sanding. Depending on weather exposure and use, refreshing the surface once a year is usually sufficient; for fully exposed wood, it may be necessary twice a year. What can you rely on with OLI NATURA® Yacht & Teak Oil? Proven over many years. We have been producing OLI NATURA® Yacht & Teak Oil in virtually unchanged form for over 20 years. We deliberately formulate it without biocides or preservatives. This means the wood oil is suitable not only for outdoor use but also for suitable wooden surfaces indoors.

RAW WOOD LOOK. ALMOST LIKE UNTREATED. Inspired by Scandinavian interior design, OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE preserves the natural appearance of light-colored woods. The typical darkening effect of oil is reduced, the wood’s natural color remains largely unchanged, and the surface looks almost freshly sanded. Its high light stability helps slow down darkening and yellowing while providing reliable everyday protection. Even on deeply brushed and textured oak, pigment deposits in the pores remain almost invisible. The result is a calm, natural raw wood look without a limed effect. When is OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE the right choice? When you want to protect light-colored wood furniture or stairs while preserving their freshly sanded character as much as possible. Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE is particularly suitable for modern raw wood surfaces where a conventional oil would create too much of a darkening effect. For wooden floors, use OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil CLASSIC. What is OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE suitable for? The raw wood effect oil is suitable for protecting solid wood surfaces in residential interiors—from furniture and tabletops to stair treads, wall panels, and trim. It is particularly suitable for untreated light-colored softwoods and hardwoods such as oak, ash, spruce, and fir. For surfaces subject to heavier use, 2K application with OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener is recommended. What does wood look like after applying OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE? The wood’s natural color remains largely unchanged. The pores are not highlighted in white, creating a naturally raw surface without a limed effect that looks and feels like freshly sanded wood. The surface appearance can be specifically adjusted with additional optional work steps. The impregnation can be refreshed repeatedly by re-oiling with OLI NATURA® Refresher. Testing on a sample area of the original wood is recommended. 20 ml samplers are available for this purpose. How easy is OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE to apply? The raw wood effect oil is applied to raw wood in two coats using a brush, roller, or spray application. Since the water content may cause the wood fibers to rise, light intermediate sanding after the first coat is recommended. Polishing the still-wet second coat with a pad makes the surface more matte and helps prevent layer formation and streaking. OLI NATURA® Refresher can be used for initial maintenance or an optional third coat. When is 2K application recommended? For surfaces subject to heavier use, Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE is applied with OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener in a 10:1 ratio. The additional cross-linking increases resistance to water, grease, and everyday household stresses. 2K application is generally recommended for tabletops and surfaces likely to be exposed to grease splashes. What other features does OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE offer? VOC-free, low-odor, and tested for interior use. The raw wood effect oil contains no volatile organic solvents, complies with DIN EN 71-3, is saliva- and perspiration-resistant in accordance with DIN 53160, is approved by the DIBt, and is declared in baubook. Oil-soaked pads and cloths do not tend to self-ignite.

Wood oil protects where it is needed: in the wood. Pads help distribute the oil evenly, work it in thoroughly, and then polish the surface. With the 21-piece pad set, you get everything you need for this. 21-piece pad set for wood oils – for working in and polishing The beige massage pad supports the thorough working-in of wood oil. The softer white polishing pad is used after the penetration time and serves for the final polishing. Both fleece pads are free of abrasive grit and non-abrasive. What is included in the pad set for wood oils? The set includes 10 beige massage pads, 10 white polishing pads, and 1 reusable mini hand pad holder with a hook-and-loop system. The pads measure approximately 15 × 8.5 cm, can be used on both sides, and can be changed quickly on the holder. Why is the pad set particularly suitable for high-solid wood oils? Which pad is used for working in and polishing? In short: Beige for distributing and working in, white for polishing. Beige massage pad – for distributing and working in:The medium-soft, slightly grippier pad supports the mechanical working-in of the wood oil and promotes optimal wood saturation. White polishing pad – for final polishing:After the penetration time, polish the freshly oiled wood surface with the white polishing pad. If there is still a significant amount of excess oil on the surface, first remove it with a lint-free cloth. Then work out any fine excess with the polishing pad until an even, natural surface appearance is achieved without a wet or sticky oil film. Which wood surfaces is the pad set suitable for? The compact pad format is particularly suitable for furniture, tabletops and worktops, smaller wood surfaces, as well as edges, corners, and hard-to-reach areas. The pads are primarily suitable for smooth to finely sanded wood surfaces. For very rough, grooved, or textured surfaces, testing on a small area beforehand is recommended, as the fleece may catch there. Are the fleece pads free of abrasive grit? Yes. Both the beige massage pad and the white polishing pad are free of abrasive grit and non-abrasive. They are used to distribute, work in, and polish wood oil and have no abrasive effect. Are replacement pads and pads for larger surfaces available? Beige massage pads and white polishing pads can be reordered separately. For larger wood surfaces, Super Pads are available, while suitable round polishing pads for random orbital sanders are available for machine application.

The OLI-NATURA Hardener is the B component for selected 2K oils and enables significantly faster curing, greater resistance, and optimal oil anchoring. Through additional molecular cross-linking, deeply anchored, tightly interlinked oil structures are created, making the surface particularly robust and durable. Thanks to its VOC-free formula (0% solvents), the hardener is environmentally friendly and safe to use. It improves chemical resistance and optimizes pigment absorption in colored oils. Particularly with a very fine final sanding, it ensures that the oil penetrates deep into the wood fibers even with high grits. Using OLI-NATURA Hardener is especially recommended for heavily used surfaces such as floors, stairs, and worktops, as well as for damp rooms and wood and epoxy resin projects with very fine sanding—ideal wherever quick use of the surface is required. Note: This product contains less than 0.1% diisocyanate monomers and may therefore be used without additional training. FOR THE REGULAR CLEANING OF OILED WOOD SURFACES Footprints, food stains, adhering dirt – oiled wood has to withstand a lot in everyday life. Usually, a dry cloth or clean water is sufficient. When dirt can no longer be removed this way, OLI NATURA® Wood Soap comes into play. It cleans and cares for the wood in a single step, removes everyday dirt and simultaneously replenishes oils. This preserves the wood’s natural character – suitable for versatile use undiluted or diluted. Which wood surfaces is OLI NATURA® Wood Soap suitable for? For oiled, waxed, soaped or limed wood indoors – from parquet and floorboards to stairs, furniture and other wood surfaces that can be wiped with a damp cloth. Suitable for private and commercial use. When does wood need more than OLI NATURA® Wood Soap? Wood Soap handles regular cleaning and maintenance care. For heavy, old, stubborn or deeply ingrained dirt, a basic or intensive cleaning is the better choice – especially before re-oiling. If the surface looks dry, dull or visibly worn, a care oil for oiled wood is recommended. Does OLI NATURA® Wood Soap change the appearance of the wood? Wood Soap cleans without leaching the surface or creating a grey haze. This leaves the wood looking clean, fresh and naturally cared for after cleaning. How easy is OLI NATURA® Wood Soap to use? For regular cleaning, add 5–10 ml of Wood Soap to each litre of lukewarm water and wipe with a damp, wrung-out cloth – using a cloth or white pad on small areas, and a floor wiper or flat mop on floors. Apply undiluted to individual areas with more stubborn dirt. The pH-neutral formula is gentle on skin and wood. What else makes OLI NATURA® Wood Soap stand out? Then as now, hand sanding is still often and gladly used, for example when working on smaller furniture surfaces or curved workpieces and corners. 2-in-1 sanding sponge, coated on all four sides, reusable Grit 100 = medium = P220, fine sanding The aluminum oxide coating ensures good material removal Dimensions: 98 x 66 x 25 mm The medium-hard foam core adapts well to the surface This red 2-in-1 sanding sponge with a P220 sanding finish combines sandpaper and a sanding block in one. This grit is ideal for fine-sanding raw wood surfaces, intermediate sanding, and resanding wetted surfaces. The foam core makes the sponge comfortable to hold and allows it to adapt to the surface being worked on. Slight grain shedding is normal, and the workpiece should be dusted after sanding.The sanding sponge is reusable. Clean it thoroughly after each use to remove sanding dust and other contaminants. To do this, rinse the sanding sponge under running water and, if necessary, rub it with a soft brush or cleaning cloth. If the sanding sponge is very dirty, use a mild cleaning agent if necessary. Then allow the sanding sponge to dry completely before using it again.

Wellness for wood: This naturally curing care oil for oiled wooden surfaces has many beneficial properties: It refreshes the “faded” color of the wood, gives the surface renewed depth and radiance, is absorbed very quickly, and replenishes the pores with fresh oil. This renews the protective effect and, consequently, the wood’s resistance. It is particularly recommended for the initial treatment and refreshing of parquet and floorboard floors, stairs, and indoor wooden furniture treated with oxidatively drying impregnating oils. The natural-oil-based care oil is not pigmented. Nevertheless, it accentuates the wood’s grain and color. Thanks to its low viscosity, it is easy to apply: For small items of furniture, simply apply a little care product to a lint-free cotton cloth or polishing pad and wipe it over the surface to be treated. To refresh wooden stairs, apply the care oil sparingly with a polishing pad, distribute it, and polish it with a cotton or oil-absorbing cloth. PreOilCleaner thoroughly cleans and ensures optimal preparation of untreated or freshly sanded wooden surfaces such as furniture, stairs, parquet flooring, and panels. It increases the wood’s absorbency and minimizes tannin reactions in tannin-rich woods such as oak. Suitable for all types of wood, it is diluted with water and applied before oiling. Mix the product with warm water and apply evenly using a wrung-out cotton cloth or sponge until the surface is damp but not wet. For floors, a slightly damp mop is recommended. Allow the wooden surface to dry thoroughly. After complete drying, sand lightly between coats if necessary, remove the dust, and then treat with an OLI-NATURA oil of your choice. This product is NOT suitable for regular daily cleaning. When using OLI-NATURA Antique reactive stain, the surface should NOT be treated with PreOilCleaner beforehand.

Projektöl is now considered one of the classics among impregnating oils and is the universal all-rounder. Thanks to its medical-grade isoparaffin content, it has very high self-penetration. This makes it easy to apply, allows it to absorb quickly, and means it does not need to be vigorously polished afterward. This makes Projektöl ideal for serial furniture production and for components with complex geometries. Projektöl is suitable for almost all indoor woodworking projects—whether for wooden or framed furniture, wall paneling, doors, or stairs. Its solids content is 60%, which means that a single coat is completely sufficient for furniture subject to normal use. Stairs or tabletops, however, require more protection. A second coat is recommended in these cases. The oil can easily be applied with a brush, pad, cloth, roller, sponge, or spray gun. After a short absorption time, the oil should be polished again with a cotton cloth or oil-absorbing cloth. This minimizes differences in gloss that may result from the wood’s varying absorption characteristics. With Projektöl in “Natural”, the wood grain is accentuated very strongly. In addition, Projektöl, colored is also available. The UV-stable pigments add transparent color to the wood surfaces. Reinterpreting a classic: As it was 100 years ago, this colorless furniture wax is made from a blend of natural carnauba wax and beeswax. What makes it contemporary, however, is the complete absence of terpenes, silicones, and VOCs. This makes »OLI-NATURA Furniture Wax« a reinterpretation of a true classic. The rich furniture wax nourishes and cares for the wood. It creates a velvety-smooth feel and a patina that grows deeper over time. It not only makes the surface water-repellent, but also prevents dirt from penetrating the wood. The wax is applied in circular motions with a soft cloth and then polished. It is suitable for all types of wood and is primarily used for furniture care or initial treatment. The wax has a pleasantly subtle scent. »OLI-NATURA Furniture Wax« is produced using traditional craftsmanship from 100% genuine beeswax and carnauba wax, along with other proven raw materials. Wellness for wood: This naturally hardening care wax combines oil and wax in one product. It is particularly recommended for initial care and refreshing parquet and plank floors, stairs, and indoor wooden furniture treated with our oxidatively drying hardwax oils.  The oil replenishes the wood’s pores with fresh oil, while the wax creates a fine surface film. This renews the protective effect and, consequently, the wood’s resistance. The care wax is not pigmented. Nevertheless, it subtly enhances the depth of the color again. Thanks to its low viscosity, it is easy to apply: For small pieces of furniture, simply put a small amount of the care product on a lint-free cotton cloth or polishing pad and wipe it over the surface to be treated. To refresh wooden stairs, apply the care wax sparingly with a polishing pad, distribute it, and polish it with a cotton or oil-absorbent cloth. To care for parquet and plank floors, the care wax can also be applied evenly in a thin layer using a sprayer and, after a short dwell time, polished by hand or with a single-disc machine using a polishing pad. “OLI-NATURA Project Oil,” based on natural oils, is used for the colored treatment of furniture, stairs, and floorboards made from almost all types of wood. It has a solids content of 60%, penetrates deeply into the pores, and reliably protects the wood from within. It does not form a surface layer but instead provides an open-pore impregnation. Thanks to the project oil’s high self-penetration, it is particularly easy to apply and highly economical. With just one or two coats, highly water- and dirt-repellent wood surfaces are achieved that are easy to maintain and repair. There are four colors that preserve the wood’s natural charm and enhance the surface’s tactile appeal. The pigments preserve the wood’s grain pattern and give the surface a natural color. At the same time, the UV-stable color pigments help counteract the wood’s natural color changes for as long as possible.  The project oil is ideal for all limed, untreated, sanded, or new wood surfaces, and is also suitable for oriented strand board (OSB) and cork indoors: whether for wooden or framed furniture, wall paneling, doors or kitchen furniture, parquet floors, or stairs. Easy to apply: Depending on the application, the material is applied in one or two working steps with a brush, a pad, or an oil roller, so that the entire wood surface is evenly wetted and glossy. After a short soaking time, the excess is simply removed with a cotton cloth/oil-absorbing cloth and polished once more. If needed, a second coat can be applied after drying overnight, without intermediate sanding.  For furniture subject to normal wear, a single coat is generally sufficient. Floors, stairs, or heavily used furniture require more protection, however. A second coat is recommended here.  To test the effect of the oil, we offer a practical sample size. Quality: “OLI-NATURA Project Oil” is based on modified vegetable oils such as linseed oil, medical-grade isoparaffin, and lead- and cobalt-free drying agents. We deliberately avoid using critical substances such as preservatives, formaldehyde, aromatic compounds, biocides, cobalt salts, and oximes. The product cures inside the wood to a tough-elastic finish in combination with atmospheric oxygen. The oiled surface remains open-pored and breathable. Thanks to its diffusion openness (water vapor permeability), the treated wood can absorb moisture from the indoor air and release it again when needed. This improves the indoor climate and enhances people’s well-being. The cured material is harmless to humans, animals, and plants. It complies with DIN EN 71-3 (safety of toys) and DIN 53160 (resistance to saliva and perspiration), and is a construction product approved by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt).
